Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and Rochester Rising are organizing the first ever Student Entrepreneurial Showcase during this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Week in Rochester.
This event will be a live demo night, featuring products and services created by students in Southeast Minnesota. At the event, student teams will have the opportunity to showcase how their product or service works to solve a specific problem to a gathered community of peers, entrepreneurs, and engaged members of the Southeast Minnesota startup community. Attendees can vote on their favorite product or service to win the “People’s Choice” award and prize.
This event will feature products and services from students from high school through graduate level studies.
The evening will also serve as the qualifying round for the Junior Angler Division of Walleye Tank, a business pitch competition for businesses at all stages of development. During this portion of the evening, student teams will give live, formal presentations to win a spot in the final round of Walleye Tank, which takes place December 1st.
