Curious about Improv?

Come give it a test drive by signing up for this super easy, no experience necessary, improv introduction! In class, we’ll cover some of the essentials of improv in a fun and safe environment. The class meets once for 90 minutes and is led by David Kappelhoff, a master improv instructor based in the Twin Cities. If you like it, then take it to the next level and sign up for the Improv Launch Class coming in September!

Age: Adults 18 – Infinity
Location: Class will take place at Bleu Duck Kitchen (14 4th St. SW, Rochester, MN 55902). The restaurant is closed on Sundays. We will be using the large banquet space.

Improv Instructor’s Bio:

David Kappelhoff is a master improv instructor with over 18 years of teaching experience, and is currently teaching at the Brave New Workshop Theater and Student Union in Minneapolis. He has performed improv throughout the Twin Cities including at Huge Theater, Stevie Ray’s Comedy Theater, the Bryant Lake Bowl, the Minnesota Fringe Festival, the Twin Cities Improv Festival, as well as at The Big DIF improv festival, The PIT Theater in New York City, and the Chicago Improv Festival. He has trained under Paul Sills, Kevin McDonald and Amy Poehler, as well as at The Second City Theater and I/O Chicago. He’s instructed beginning to advanced improv performance classes, facilitated non-profit and corporate improv workshops, and directed the improv program at Cretin-Derham Hall High School and started an adult and youth program in Myanmar, Asia. David offers a playful and welcoming teaching style, creating a fun and safe environment for all learners
