Women's Roundtable

  • Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce Jaguar Communications Video Conference Center 220 South Broadway, Suite 100 (map)

Develop relationships within this supportive group of women leaders who meet the third Friday morning of each month. The Women's Round Table provides a small, safe environment for women to: practice and refine skills, discuss challenges specific to women in positions of leadership, learn together and empower each other to take risks. Join us for a fun, engaging program driven by the needs of the group.

This month's round table speaker will JoMarie Morris, Executive Director of the Rochester-Southeast Minnesota Jeremiah Program.

Bio: JoMarie Leth Morris served as a legislative intern for Minnesota State Senator Steven Morse prior to attending William Mitchell College of Law, where she graduated with honors and served as associate editor of the law review. She was a partner at Klampe, Delehanty & Morris law firm in Rochester for 18 years, president of the Olmsted County Bar Association, and an adjunct professor at Winona State University. Morris has done significant pro bono work relating to domestic abuse, sex and labor trafficking, and citizenship for refugees. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Winona State University.

Morris is currently the Executive Director of the Rochester-Southeast Minnesota Jeremiah Program. She is leading the launch of Jeremiah’s Rochester campus to serve single moms and their young children from Southeast Minnesota.

The Jeremiah Program is one of the nation’s most successful strategies to move families from poverty to prosperity two generations at a time. The Jeremiah Program prepares single moms to excel in the workplace, readies their children for success in school, and reduces general dependence on public assistance.
